The client for this contemporary three bedroom new build was an accomplished self-builder with high standards and particular taste.

Situated within Chilwell in Nottingham, the site was a small vacant plot with a dramatic change in level. In a mid-century housing estate with no consistent architectural style, the site is restricted on all sides by overlooking neighbouring properties and a retaining wall requiring a creative design solution to maximise its potential. 
 

Unique features such as the specially fabricated loft and entrance stairs come together to create a contemporary interior of high quality and lasting style. This project is a successful example of economical design making use of a disregarded plot to create a one-off and desirable home.
