An experienced builder, requiring a life-long family home was the client for this traditional new build project in the village of Westhorpe.

Constructed on a large brownfield site, the restrictions on this project related to maintaining the historic character of the Village.

Utilising features of the Victorian vernacular, such as detailed brick eaves, stone sills, heads and window surrounds, stone parapets and corbel details was a key aspect of design. The symmetrical arrangement in plan, while encouraging family life encapsulated aspects forward and backward onto the surrounding paddocks through a large glazed oak framed gable.
