Our design approach to this row of 12 semi-detached homes considers the two extremes of style neighbouring the site in order to reinstate continuity in the street scene.

 

The use of traditional forms and details such as brick soldier coursing, symmetrical pitched roofs, and a uniform elevation resonate with the homes to the West of the site. Simultaneously the introduction of a contemporary flat roof porch and angled stone support along with aluminium windows bring a modern dimension to the design.

The result is a fine example of affordable contemporary housing designed to accommodate its surroundings and make for meaningful family homes.
