This student accommodation proposal adds a further 80 apartments/ studio flats (138 beds) to the site. The scheme both extends to the rear of the site and adds an additional floor. The additional floor is set back form the main facade to reduce the impact on the street and neighboring proprieties.

The scheme has used a variety of materials to create a contemporary look that appeals to students, this breaks down the massing of the accommodation. Green walls have also been used in areas, this benefits the local environment and further adds curb appeal that students are starting to look for in their accommodation.

Located adjacent to the Old River Soar, a vital biodiversity site in the City of Leicester. Creating a net increase was key to the planning constraints of the site. To achieve a successful design we have carefully addressed the river edge as well as integrating green living walls to the south facing facade.
